The “next time” or “any time” is a classic. My Japanese relatives with whom I never had a close relationship would tell me “come visit any time” (itsudemo kite kudasai) but never gave me an actual date, so a long time passed until I found a real excuse to go visit. Nevertheless, I keep many fond memories of my time in Japan.
