Thank you for this article! I was living in Japan at the time, working in Tokyo like yourself. I stayed in the office with my coworkers because I was living in Saitama and it was not realistic to walk home (I wouldn’t know the route anyway.) Luckily the CEO and Board members took full responsibility and organized themselves to drive employees to their homes. The trip to my house took four hours though!
The earthquake and aftermath were terrifying but we shall never forget that almost 20,000 lives were lost and so many people are still missing.
